Shakti means "power" or "energy". In the tantric tradition, this is the life-giving force that animates everything and expresses itself through the many faces of the feminine form. Through choreographed dance, we'll tap into our raw emotions and experience ourselves in ecstatic movement. This month's workshop offers a journey into the energy of sensuality, seduction, and desire. In this space, we will explore the power and innocence in sexuality and embodying desire. We'll begin with a moving meditation and then learn choreography to "Funeral" by Miguel. Knee pads recommended, not required. Absolutely all levels welcome! All genders welcome! Come as you are.
I'm Natalie Morales, a performing artist and movement teacher living ecstatically in Austin, Texas. My background in theatre performance combined with years teaching and practicing yoga has informed my offerings, which are a mixture of meditative practices and tools for authentic self-expression. I love to sing, dance, make laughter, play outside, and try everything (most things) once.
