đź“Ł Old apple tree, we wassail thee, and hope that thou shalt bear, hatfuls, capfuls, three bushel bagfuls, and a little heap under the stairs! đź“ŁJoin Shakespeare Morris, Plum Jerkum Border Morris and Asum Gras Molly at Hill Close Gardens on Saturday 17th January 2026 from 5:30pm onwards to wassail the apple trees.
There will be Morris dancing from all three sides and a Mummers’ folk play.
We will process through Hill Close Gardens with LED torches / LED lanterns and wassail the apple trees, some of which date to the 18th century. (no open flames please)
It is free to enter as well, so come along and blow away those January cobwebs!
