Experience Shakespeare like never before with actor and singer-songwriter Daniel Zappi at the Unicorn Theatre. Blending original music with the Bard’s timeless words, Zappi brings Shakespeare’s monologues, sonnets, and songs to life through voice, guitar, mandolin, piano, and percussion. Featuring works from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, Twelfth Night, and more, this emotionally rich, musically eclectic performance offers fresh insight into Shakespeare’s plays—complete with storytelling, historical context, and live audience connection.

Shakespeare in Song premiered at the 2023 International Theatre Festival of Volterra, Italy, and has since toured venues in Prague, Milan, and the 2024 Verona Shakespeare Fringe Festival. Upcoming performances are scheduled in England and Germany in Autumn 2025.

About Daniel ZappiDaniel Zappi is a British-Italian singer-songwriter, actor, theatre director, playwright, and performing arts teacher. A graduate of the Oxford School of Drama, his work spans stage, television, and film—including his recent recurring role as 'Ivor' in Carnival Row (Amazon Prime, 2023). In addition to several albums of original music, Daniel has composed for theatre and collaborated with acclaimed artists such as writer/director Justin Butcher (Scaramouche Jones), award-winning actress Caroline Faber, and producer Tom E Morrison (Roachford, Bliss, Bonnie Tyler). A 2019 finalist on Czechia and Slovakia’s Got Talent, Daniel now tours his latest project, Shakespeare in Song, across festivals, venues, and schools in Europe. Alongside his creative work, he is passionate about drama and music education, using the performing arts to build community and empower people of all ages and backgrounds.
