Get ready for a unique dining and theatre experience at this intimate boutique performance of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew in the beautiful setting of Pialligo Estate. Lakespeare and Pialligo Estate are delighted to be partnering to bring you an evening of delight, fine dining and wonderful entertainment in The Glasshouse and surrounds of the estate.In this bold and energetic version of The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s infamous battle of the sexes gets turned on its head in a world where women do the taming. With suitors lining up for a chance to woo the agreeable Bianco, their mother declares there will be no marriage until the older hot-headed Christopher (Kit) is wed first. The limits of love are tested, and satire and mischief abound, as the cunning Petruchia takes on the daunting task of courting this sharp-tongued ‘shrew’.
Pialligo Estate provides the perfect backdrop for the action this summer.
Tickets include a two-course meal before the show. Pialligo Estate wines available to purchase along with tea, coffee, and other beverages.
Tickets are $138 ($101.50 for children under 16 years) which includes all booking fees and GST. Tickets purchased by 31 December enjoy an early bird discount of $10 per ticket. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated if provided at the time of booking.
