Message from Ronnie Brown,
"WOW, what can we say apart from a massive thank you to everyone that came down to check out a new venue and what a venue! The brickwork, wood and stone floors evoking memories of early mid 60s clubs, the crowd were up for it from the time the doors opened to the last record, with chants of more, more, more.
This was one of the most knowledgeable, appreciative and courteous gatherings I have ever had the privilege to play records for with Rockers, boppers, skins, soul boys and gals all doing their own thing without any musical politics .
SHAKE YER HIPS will be back at Chews yard on Sunday the 29th March - FREE tickets on Skiddle.
This episode will include authentic Twisted wheel set as well as Blackpool Mecca (Tony Jebb) era, plus the Torch at Tunstall another much missed 60s/70s club, also a homage to the late 50s/early 60s golden era of rockers strollers, blues boppers and jivers from Dave.
