"Let’s create a mini goth festival during Oh My Goth! Club night”
Shadow Box brings together an eclectic mix of local artisans for a week long exhibition of gothy delights culminating in a special pop up market night on Saturday August 15th, 8-10 pm for Oh My Goth ticket holders.
Mo Lee Ireland AKA Dark Entries presents cast bronze jewellery, sculpture and photography. Heavily influenced by travelling through Whitby and Ireland, the work is a tangible link to Bram Stoker, particularly His written expression of existential dread, still relevant now as ever.
Aaron Hughes AKA Grave Chains crafts wearable and wall art, taking on spider web forms and gothic / industrial themes.
Luma Johnson of Scaled Wings presents butterfly and insect specimens sustainably sourced from around the world. Carefully hand-pinned, dry-preserved and mounted in pristine frames.
Mateo Rose works with dried flowers as a way of giving life to something that has already passed. With less room for error, these dried blooms allow the artist to create without altering the natural forms.
Hannah Garner of My gothic love story works with ethically sourced Bones and Skulls creating jewellery and art. With an emphasis on conservation, highlighting the effect introduced pest species have on the NZ ecosystem, her work is influenced by gothic style, Vanitas art, and the once famed cabinets of curiosities.
