Step into a night of Shadow Work Breathwork at CommuniTea Yoga and Retreats.
Doors open at 6:20 PM.
Join us for a 1hour and 30minute guided journey of self-inquiry, meditation, and breathwork surrounded by the moons energy, compassion, and community.
There are parts of ourselves we tuck away—emotions we suppress, behaviors we regret, traits we hide. In this workshop, we’ll gently meet these “shadow” aspects, not as flaws, but as guides—messengers that help us reconnect with our whole, authentic self.
Through a nurturing blend of education, meditation, and breathwork, this session will help you deepen your connection with your inner landscape, supporting both courageous self-exploration and nervous system care.
No prior experience is needed—just bring an open heart and a willingness to explore. We can’t wait to hold space for you on this transformative journey.

Important Information About Conscious Connected Breathwork:
Breathwork can bring up deep emotional releases and somatic experiences, including:
- Tingling, buzzing, or energy movement throughout the body
- Emotional catharsis and the release of long-held emotions
- Physical sensations like muscle tightness (tetany)
- Feelings of deep relaxation, clarity, and renewal
- Transformative insights and spiritual connection

Contraindications:
Breathwork is a powerful healing tool, but it may not be suitable for individuals with:
- Severe PTSD or unmanaged anxiety disorders
- Major heart conditions or high blood pressure
- A history of seizures, strokes, or schizophrenia
- Pregnancy (due to deep diaphragmatic breathing effects)

I’m Virginia Wilcsek, a licensed therapist and certified breathwork practitioner with experience in trauma-informed and somatic healing. I help individuals regulate their nervous system, process stored trauma, and build emotional resilience through guided breathwork and evidence-based practices. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for self-exploration, personal growth, and transformation.
I specialize in combining holistic wellness approaches with practical tools to help you reconnect with your inner strength, release what no longer serves you, and cultivate lasting emotional balance.
We’re honored to welcome Mahtaab Khanjari, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as co-host of this workshop. Mahtaab brings clinical expertise and a grounded presence to guide participants through shadow work and breathwork, supporting deeper self-awareness and transformation.
Together, we’re here to hold space for your journey, offering guidance, tools, and support as you embrace your authentic self and unlock the transformative potential of this practice.


After a breathwork session focused on shadow work, participants often experience:

Info: We’ll open our circle with a grounding introduction to shadow work including what it is, why it matters, and how it shows up in everyday life. You’ll be invited to set a personal intention and explore reflective writing prompts designed to gently uncover the hidden parts of yourself.

Guided Meditation + Breath Awareness
Info: Drop into your body with a guided meditation to meet a part of your shadow. Through anchored breath, we’ll begin to build trust and connection with the inner self that often stays hidden.

Transformational Breathwork + Sound Healing
Info: Journey inward through a 30-minute conscious connected breathwork experience to feel, release, and connect with your shadow in a supportive container. We'll end this segment with a soothing sound healing session to bring balance to the nervous system and soften integration.

Reflection and Integration
Info: We’ll close with a written reflection activity and symbolic anchor – a beautiful stone to represent your shadow’s place in your transformative journey. You’ll be invited to share, and we’ll end with a group breath and mantra.
