In an advanced screening, days prior to its official release, Bob Dylan Center Leadership Circle and Founding members are invited to enter the mysterious environs of "Shadow Kingdom," Dylan’s strikingly original concert film initially made available as a one-time livestream in 2021 and now set for distribution as a soundtrack album on June 2 and digital download and rental on June 6. Center Leadership Circle and Founding members will get an early look and listen at this special event; please join us in person at the Woody Guthrie Center Theater or remotely via an exclusive online link.
For "Shadow Kingdom," Dylan revisited and rearranged more than a dozen of his classics — from “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” and “Tombstone Blues” to “Queen Jane Approximately” and “Forever Young” — for a lovely, often playful performance on a soundstage done up as a smokey barroom from a vintage film noir and shot in gorgeous black-and-white. Accompanied by a group of masked musicians, Dylan is in brilliant form as he once again shakes up his back catalog and presents old favorites anew.
Join fellow center Leadership Circle and Founding members for this special event, in person or online. To upgrade your membership to the Leadership Circle level, reach out to our membership team at [email protected].
The Bob Dylan Center thanks Columbia Records, Sony Music Entertainment, Jeroen van der Meer and Jeffrey Schulberg for making this screening possible.
