We have Eleanor DJ'ing for an additional week as a farewell before she leaves us for a few months. We are also starting a new series this month with A'lan and Anđela, 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 (see their description and schedule of topics below)!!
𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔:
Let’s face it... you’re a fusion dancer. You love fusion. And you chose fusion to be free. You don’t want to learn through rigid progressions and patterns. You want to break the rules! You want to play and explore. So let's do it! Let’s become better dancers as we play.
All month, we’re diving into games in this fun format. Step 1: Learn the rules. Step 2: Dance the rules. Step 3: Share learnings. Step 4: Switch roles and repeat.
Each class session will have games to explore different technical aspects of fusion dance, enriched by supplemental energetic concepts to deepen your embodied exploration. The energetic descriptions—Yin, Yang, Earth, Fire, Spirit, and Water—are designed to enhance your understanding of the soft skills and internal qualities we’ll cultivate as dancers and community members. Yin represents receptivity and grounding, Yang symbolizes action and expansion, Earth embodies stability and presence, Fire brings intensity and passion, Spirit connects us to higher awareness and attunement, and Water signifies fluidity and emotional depth.
Class Schedule:
July 1: Followership Games of Embodiment (Yin, Earth Energetic)
July 8: Frame and Technique Games (Yang Rising, Fire Energetic)
July 15: Leadership Games of Attunement and Musicality (Yang, Spirit Energetic)
July 22: Connection and Intimacy Games (Yin Rising, Water Energetic)
July 29: Advanced Games

𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓
Mark is an international Fusion and Baystyle instructor, dj, and organizer who has been socal dancing since 2005. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and expanding this emerging artform.
𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒏:
Having danced up and down the west coast since 2016, Eleanor's approach as a DJ comes from years of dancing the whole night straight with no breaks. In her first year of DJing in addition to local venues she played at (inter)national events such as Portland Underground Exchange, High-Fidelity Fusion, and European Micro Fantasia, and was hired as the “Rising Star DJ” for the canceled Motley Hue Fusion in 2020. She aims to give the floor what it needs, no shame, and it shows: her sets have been described as “freakin’ lit,” “absolute bangers” with “no maybes.” Her music spans across multiple genres, aiming to nourish the energy of the room and keep you in the groove all night long. Expect to be musically engaged and emotionally compelled. With musician ears and dancer intuition, Eleanor is here to make magic happen.
