Pianist Alexander Merpaw will be interpreting enchanting piano works by Chopin and Ravel, delving into the theme of "night time terrors" and their antidote. Experience the soothing melodies and exhilarating rhythms as he performs Chopin's Nocturne Op. 48-1, Scherzo Op. 39, and Mazurka Op. 59-1, alongside Ravel's hauntingly beautiful Gaspard de la Nuit.
? Born and raised in eastern Ontario, Alexander has been honing his piano skills since the age of 3 under the guidance of his mother.
? Currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Ottawa, Alexander studies piano performance under the esteemed Professor David Jalbert.
? Alexander's remarkable talent has been recognized through numerous awards, including being the 2021-2022 uOttawa School of Music concerto competition winner.
