SHADES OF BLUE Great American Rockin’ Blues Revue The intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 49 in Clarksdale, Mississippi is purported to be the “Crossroads” where musician ROBERT JOHNSON sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for fame and fortune as a Bluesman. While other locations make the claim of being the “Crossroads,” one thing is certain, the MISSISSIPPI DELTA is the birthplace of the United States’ own unique musical genre, The Blues. SHADES OF BLUE pays homage to Johnson and The Delta in their Rockin’ Revue, featuring tributes to many of the greatest blues artists and their best-known songs. Many have become “Blues Standards.” Expect to hear mashups of songs like Johnson’s version of “CROSSROADS” and the decidedly more rock version from CREAM. Hear a heart-felt medley of the “Three Kings” (BB, ALBERT & FREDDIE) and their respective “hits,” “THE THRILL IS GONE,” “BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN” and “GOIN’ DOWN.”
Along the way, you will hear legendary, iconic Blues tunes like “Whipping Post,” “Roadhouse Blues,” “Pride & Joy”, “Good Morning Little School Girl,” “I Put A Spell On You,” “Ain’t Superstitious” and “Who Do You Love,” among many other well-known Blues Classics.
