Yn yr ail o gyfres sgyrsiau myfyrwyr Coleg Menai, bydd Billy Bagilhole yn dychwelyd nol Fangor, lle cychwynnodd ei daith fel artist am y tro cyntaf archwilio troadau a throi ei yrfa greadigol. O’i fagwraeth yn Pwllheli ar Ben Llyn, honodd Billy ei ddawn creadigol yn Coleg Menai lle cafodd yr hyder i ymgymryd â chelf, i astudio Celf Gain yn Coleg Celfyddydau Chelsea a sefydlu ei hun fel artist sydd eisoes wedi cael ei arddangos rhyngwladol. Bydd y sgwrs yma yn gyfle i Billy myfyrio ar y profiadau, heriau a chyfleoedd sydd wedi siapio ei ymarfer.

Trwy straeon personol a gwersi a ddysgwyd ar hyd y ffordd, bydd yn archwilio realiti gyrfa yn y celfyddydau, uchafbwyntiau ac isafbwyntiau bywyd academaidd, ac pwysigrwydd dyfalbarhad, chwilfrydedd a dibynnu ar eich hunanddisgyblaeth . Bydd y sgwrs yma yn ddyfyniad gonest a phersonol o’i daith hyd yma, mae'r sgwrs yn anelu at annog myfyrwyr i dderbyn ansicrwydd, dod o hyd i’w llais creadigol eu hunain a chydnabod nad oes un llwybr unigol i fod yn artist.

Returning to the Coleg Menai area, where his journey as an artist first began, Billy Bagilhole will explore the twists and turns of his creative career. From growing up in Pwllheli in Llŷn and finding the confidence to pursue art, to studying Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts and establishing himself as an international exhibiting artist, Billy will reflect on the experiences, challenges and opportunities that have shaped his practice.

Through personal stories and lessons learned along the way, he will explore the realities of pursuing a career in the arts, the highs and lows of life in academia, and the importance of perseverance, curiosity and trusting your own instincts. An honest and personal account of his journey so far, the talk aims to encourage students to embrace uncertainty, find their own creative voice and recognise that there is no single path to becoming an artist.
