About Barry Porter
Barry Porter is the founder of Raspberry Communications, a Singapore-based consultancy specialising strategic communications for finance and sustainability. He previously held senior editorial, management and strategy roles with leading news organisations, including Bloomberg and CNBC. His three-decade career spans the evolution of modern media β from hot metal typesetting and manual typewriters to partnering early pioneers of NLP, machine learning and data science in financial journalism.
About Jason Subler
Jason Subler is Global General Manager at Reuters, overseeing the operations of its global publishing and commentary teams and elements of strategic planning for Reuters newsrooms around the world. Jason has long led initiatives on infusing technology into newsrooms, from speed-focused automations to machine translations, and is now involved in building generative AI into journalist workflows. Prior to moving to Singapore in 2017, Jason spent over a decade as a reporter and bureau chief for Reuters in China, leading award-winning teams whose work was recognized by accolades including an Overseas Press Club award and multiple Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) awards. He speaks fluent Mandarin and German.
About Jeremy Au Yong
Jeremy is an associate editor at The Straits Times and oversees newsroom strategy, tech, product and visualisation teams in the newsroom. He has been a journalist since 2004 and has worked across various sections. His previous roles include foreign editor, lifestyle editor, mobile editor and US bureau chief.
About Olivia Poh (Moderator)
Olivia Poh is the Asia technology reporter at Bloomberg News, focusing on Southeast Asia. Olivia joined Bloomberg in 2022, covering companies including ByteDance Ltd., Grab Holdings Ltd. and Sea Ltd. From her base in Singapore, she leads coverage across a wide range of topics such as e-commerce and artificial intelligence in the region. Olivia is also a regular contributor to Bloomberg's global Tech Daily newsletter, which features exclusive reporting and analysis on tech and AI.
Olivia joined Bloomberg from the The Business Times previously. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Washington Post, South China Morning Post and CNBC. She's a graduate of Nanyang Technological University.
