On Thursday, May 23, 2024 SFMade is bringing together the local manufacturing community and its supporters for an evening celebrating the HERE and NOW of locally made. Our theme: The Story of Local highlights the rich history and legacy local manufacturing plays in the city of San Francisco.

Founded in 2010, SFMade is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that emerged in the wake of the Great Recession with the need to revitalize, preserve and protect the local manufacturing sector and the jobs it provides. Today, our mission is to support local manufacturers so they can thrive, innovate, and create good jobs for a more diverse and sustainable Bay Area. We believe that a strong local manufacturing sector contributes to a more resilient and healthy economic ecosystem; and is essential to maintaining the unique identity and community connections of the region. Local manufacturing is positioned to influence the future workforce and creates career and entrepreneurship opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds.
