Join us for a panel discussion at the end of the month with fabulous community members to celebrate Transgender History Month (although we know every month should be)!
We will share stories that highlight how transgender people have always been a part of San Francisco and the Castro. Historical people, places and cultural events will be highlighted as a means to counter erasure of our stories by the federal government and transphobic people throughout the world.
Facilitated by Castro LGBTQ Cultural District Director Tina Valentin Aguirre. Panelists are Chino Lee Chung, Activist and Writer; Prado Gomez, Singer and Writer, Mason Jairo, Activist and Writer; Honey Mahogany, Executive Director, SF Office of Transgender Initiatives; Breonna McCree, Co-Executive Director of the Transgender District; and Jupiter Peraza, Activist and Community Organizer.
