The rent is too darn high! How do we make San Francisco welcoming to artists, refugees, and people of all races, genders, and backgrounds - even if they can’t afford market-rate rents? SF has had rent control since 1979; what’s worked and what alternatives exist to manage displacement and gentrification as we build more housing?

Expect a lively discussion about how we can make sure that SF remains a welcoming city with a vibrant and diverse population, even as it grows.
