About this Event
The clock is ticking: San Francisco must adopt a new zoning map by January 2026, or lose its zoning control to the state. What’s a zoning map, you ask? The new zoning map determines the maximum size of buildings which can be built- and thus it’s at the center of contentious negotiations over the future of the city. After two years of work, SF Planning has a brand-spanking-new proposal that they hope will be the final version of the map, and they are seeking feedback from citizens like you!
Come learn from SF Planning Director Rich Hillis what went into the new zoning map, how this will meet the state housing goals, and how the zoning map fits into the city’s plans for the future of transit, schools, and economic development.
