SF Electronic Music Festival 2024

This Festival Pass provides admission to all SFEMF 2024 events at The Lab.

The San Francisco Electronic Music Festival is an artist-run organization founded in 1999 by eight local sound artists and musicians. Since the first festival in 2000, SFEMF has presented works that span the sonic spectrum from ambient to rhythmic and atonal to melodic by participants ranging from new and emerging young artists to respected pioneers of the electronic music field.

Recent festivals have featured performances by Clipping, zoviet france, William Basinski, Dieter Moebius, Christian Marclay, and Maja Ratkje.

Friday begins with Amanda Chaudhary's visually stunning interdisciplinary electronic work, followed by Pedestrian Deposit's genre-busting visceral narratives, and concludes with Evicshen guiding a thrilling journey of noise, sampling, synthesis, and live processing.

Julie Herndon's intimate Electronic Etudes for acoustic piano and live electronic processing are followed by Sholeh Asgary's future mythological excavations in movement, light, voice, and sound. Saturday concludes with Valerio Tricoli's stunning composition of intricate, evolving textures.

Sunday begins with Dustin Wong's creation of benevolent chaos through live looping, followed by Briana Marela's experimental pop combining voice and enhanced electronic objects. It concludes with Nicholas Becker and Eddie Ruscha sounding the unpredictable through improvised sound design.
