Kids what a great day you will have on this outing. First you will be going to the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo for a guided tour. The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo is a 10-acre zoo in Gainesville, Florida. As part of Santa Fe College, It is the only college zookeeper training facility in the United States with its own AZA-accredited zoo on grounds, and has been accredited since 2000. Then we will head over to the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium. For fantastic show featuring Florida Skies. Since 2006, the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium has been dedicated to enriching the learning environment of Santa Fe College students and our community. We employ the latest educationally innovative technology in a unique immersive-learning environment for Santa Fe and University of Florida. The cost of this outing is $15 for Marion Oaks Residents and/or youths that attend Marion Oaks Public Schools. The out of area rate is $25. Pricing is per person. (Youth age 9 & under are required to travel with a parent/legal guardian.) Members of the Marion Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center my use the youth room prior to and after the trip.
