🎺✨Live Band Night is back at Bal Haus AGAIN! ✨🎺Get ready — Silver Bell Jazz Band is rolling into Bal Haus with a full night of joyful, hard-swinging music straight from the heart of early jazz.
This beloved Bay Area band has been winning over dancers and listeners for years with their signature blend of hot jazz, ragtime, swing, and dixieland. Their timeless sound, deep musicality, and easy professionalism make them one of the most versatile traditional jazz bands around — and they’re bringing that magic to our floor.
For this edition of Live Band Night, you’ll hear:
Ryan Calloway – reeds
Don Neely – reeds
Marty Eggers – bass
Steve Apple – drums
Virginia Tichenor – keys
Together, they create a vibrant, high-energy sound that fills the room — rich reedss, driving rhythm, sparkling keys, and the kind of swing that makes your feet start moving before you even notice.
$20 entrance fee. No partner needed. Beginners are welcome! Additionally, we offer a one-on-one mini crash course starting at 8:00 pm. $7 gets you a 20-minute private session with a top-notch Balboa instructor. You can work on any topic from fundamentals to styling. First come, first served. (Please come sign up when the doors open at 7:50pm)
Full bar available (cash only). Treat yourself to a delicious drink. There's ample street parking but please do not leave valuables in your car! Have other plans and coming by late? No problem! Admission is half off after 11:00pm.

For the health of our dance community, please stay home if you’re feeling sick (COVID or not) or have been recently exposed. Masks are still encouraged on the dance floor, and we ask that everyone be respectful of each other's space. Masks will be available at the front desk.
