Sex Workers Awareness in Practice (in-person training)

This training event is open to practitioners in Brighton and Hove Services only and aims to raise awareness of issues for sex workers.
About this Event

This training is for frontline practitioners in Brighton & Hove services only.

Training will be delivered in person by practitioners from the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) at Oasis Project

Training will include:

· Myths and realities around sex work and the sex industry

· Sex Work and the law.

· Gendered experience for individuals working in the sex industry.

· Risks and stigma

· Health needs of sex workers

· Addressing barriers to sex workers accessing support.

· Exploration of strategies for supporting service users who sex work or who may be being sexually exploited
