Sewing with Knits

This class will provide basic information about different kinds of knit fabrics: plain cotton jersey, sweater knits, and high-stretch spandex blends. We'll cover seam types, stretch stitches, elastic choices, and edge finishes. Suggestions, tips, and tricks provided, along with generous fabric/elastic samples for practice. This class provides practice and information, preparing you to jump into your own projects. If people are interested, we can add a quick serger tutorial.
Bring your sewing machine/pedal in good working order to the first class, along with your favorite tools (pins, little scissors, etc.) You will want ballpoint, knit, or stretch needles that fit your specific sewing machine. I'll have some tools on hand, along with fabric and elastic samples.
