A short course in sewing alterations on 3 consecutive Saturdays in the Material Moves Teaching Studio, Scarborough, where I will help you learn how to make Menswear fit over 3 Saturday afternoons. 28th Feb, 7th & 14th March 2026 2pm - 5pm
This series of workshops is suitable for people who are familiar in using a sewing machine and know the basics of hand sewing. I will be showing you a variety of precision techniques particularly necessary for menswear alterations.
Week 1...Shortening/Lengthening Suit & Casual Trouser Hems, inc. Jeans
Week 2 ...Taking in/letting out Suit Trousers at the Waist .
Week 3 ...Shortening/ Lengthening Sleeves on Suit Jackets, Shirts and Casual Tops .
All my tools, machinery and equipment are available for your use for the duration of the course.
