Mending is a way to keep our clothes out of landfill and lets you can wear the pieces for longer, helping to address fashion waste. Fast fashion ends up in landfills often and early and is one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions, pollution, and waste.
Invest in your wardrobe and mend your clothes.
Bring your favourite item of clothing that you haven't worn for ages because it needs mending.
No alterations on new items.
The event is run by volunteers who can hem, change zips (bring in the new zip), patch and repair.
Please bring a koha.
This sewing repair cafe is a collab between Chinese Conservation Education Trust and Epsom Chinese Association.
