Sewing for Beginners - Pot holder edition with Dani Osborn

Age Range: 14 and up!
(Minors must be accompanied by an adult!)
Description
Join us for a day of beginner friendly sewing! In this class, students will sew together a custom pot holder to protect their home surfaces from hot pots!
Led by sewing instructor Dani Osborn, students will learn how to work with a sewing machine while creating something fun and functional. Everyone aged 14 and up are welcome to register for this class!
Please bring the following to this class:
- A Sewing Machine in good working order
- Large spool of preferred thread
- (Optional) two fat quarters (pieces of fabric that are 18 x 22 inches).
All Other Supplies Provided
You can find all materials at Singer Sewing Center located on 6034 S Padre Island Drive.
Please note: The Art Center of Corpus Christi can provide up to three sewing machines. Please contact us as soon as possible to reserve one. First come first serve.

Instructor
Dani Osborn is a 39-year-old Texas native who began her quilting journey in 2005. Since then, Dani has taken her sewing skills from small projects, to creating beautiful collage quilts. She happily married in 2015 and graduated from South Texas Collage with an associate’s in science for Respiratory Therapy in 2019. A year later, Dani became a proud mother of one and moved to Corpus Christi to be closer to her son’s specialist. She’s become an Avid quilter since her father’s passing three years ago, and spends her time learning, growing, and taking care of her son.
