Make a custom-fitted sleeve sloper from poster board and learn the patternmaking process behind garment design.
About this Event

Learn the foundations of fashion pattern in this beginner-friendly workshop. You'll learn how professional designers create the templates used to make garments by using your measurements to draft a basic sleeve pattern (often called a "sloper" or "block") that can be used as the starting point for countless future sleeve designs. These slopers are made from poster board and are reusable!

We'll cover:

• Taking accurate body measurements
• Understanding basic pattern-making terminology
• Drafting a custom-fit sleeve sloper
• How to use your sloper as a starting point for future designs

By the end of class, you'll leave with a reusable custom sleeve sloper and the knowledge needed to begin exploring garment pattern making on your own.

We will begin promptly at 6:30PM to make the most of our time together.

No prior sewing or pattern-making experience is required.

Duration: 2 hours + option to stay
