About this Event

Tiger Green Textiles brings people together to share and learn skills and build confidence. We also have our eye on sustainability, sharing ideas on how to make simple changes to be more sustainable in your everyday life.

We are excited to bring you our new sewing and upcycling clinic.

  • Are you stuck on a project and need some help from expert sewers?
  • Are you looking to upclycle something you already have and want help on how best to do it?
  • Do you need to make an alteration but don't know where to start?

Our sewing clinic can help you! Our experts can help with all manner of issues you may be having from alterations, patterns and upcycling.

Sessions will be every two weeks on Fridays 10-1pm

Venue: All Souls Community Centre, Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, NG7 3HF.

Cost of this class - £10

You will get use of our sewing machines & haberdashery included in the cost as well as refreshments.

Toni Jarvis has been sewing since she can remember. Always wanting to be a ‘Fashion Designer’ when she grew up, she started her first business at 21 - The Shirt Workshop - designing and manufacturing menswear with a focus on bespke shirts. Joining other designers to represent Nottingham at London Fashion Week in 1986. Family, working with young people, teaching sewing classes and launching Tiger Green Textiles has honed her skills further.

Liliana Morales studied Fashion Design in Bogotá where she also launched her own label and boutique store. On moving to Europe she graduated in Visual Merchandising IED, Milan. Her main drive at present is upcycling and original sustainable design. She is a committed member of the wonderful Tiger Community.

Quinn studied Fashion Art Design for her undergraduate degree and completed a postgraduate course in Fashion Marketing at NTU. She has been operating her own curated boutique in Shanghai for nearly 10 years. She's delighted to meet everyone in the Tiger Community.
