Sewing 101; Basic Hand Stitches for beginners! (3/15; 6-8pm)

Enjoy a fun evening with friends and family learning a new life skill in a relaxing setting. We will learn a few basic hand stitches (running, backstitch, slip stitch, etc.) that can be used to hem dress pants, patch clothing, and set a foundation for more complex stitches such as embroidery. We will have scraps of fabric, 1 spool of thread, and 1 needle for each person (that you get to take home) along with a few thimbles (which stay with us). If you'd like a good we recommend this one! Get out of your head, off technology, and back to yourself in a fun space :)

Our typical age range for classes and workshops is 18+ though anyone over the age of 10 years old is welcome to attend (any person under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Note: Shahane will be the instructor! She has taught art since 2016, got her BFA in ceramic arts in 2015 with a double minor in art history and psychology, and owns Pudgy's Place with her husband Phillip :) ((sewing experience: Shahane comes from a family of shoemakers and seamstresses so she grew up sewing her whole life basically.))
