Sewing for Beginners - Learn the basics of sewing and machine competency through a project based class!About this Event
Monday Evenings 6:30pm-9pm on 10/10, 10/7, and 10/24
*Your ticket covers all three evenings, as each class builds on the previous to finish the project*
Come make a sewing project with softgoods professional Tahany Huerta to learn:
- How to thread both a standard home machine and an industrial table machine
- How to wind a bobbin
- How to replace a needle on the machines
- How to adjust tension
- How to thread and use a serger (this is a maybe depending on time/ having the machine ready)
- How to do a straight stitch, curved stitch, and finish/press seams
- How to identify grain of fabric to cut patterns
- How to sew a fully lined item
- How to properly install a zipper with a zipper foot
- Complete a project of a fully lined box pouch!
