Looking for a creative, hands-on experience for your child before summer ends?
Welcome to Sew In Detroit Academy, where Future Designers ages 8–16 will learn more than just sewing—they'll build confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset in a fun, encouraging environment.
Throughout this eight-session academy, Future Designers will:
- ✂️ Learn hand sewing and machine sewing
- 🧸 Create fun projects like plushies, pillows, and drawstring bags
- 📐 Learn how to read sewing patterns
- ♻️ Complete an upcycling design challenge
- 💼 Participate in our Young CEO Lab, where they'll explore entrepreneurship and creativity
- 🎓 Graduate with a certificate and portfolio of completed projects
