Afrobeat star Seun Kuti is a Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter renowned for his captivating performances and socially conscious music. He is the youngest son of the legendary Fela Kuti. Seun is preserving and extending his father’s political and musical legacy as the leader of Fela's former band Egypt 80. As a developing saxophonist and percussionist, Seun entered the formal ranks of the band before he was 12. When Fela passed in 1997, in fulfilment of his father’s wishes, Seun assumed the mantle as head of Egypt 80 and he has run it ever since - a funk-groove polyphonic power house of horns, percussion, afrobeat guitars, and dancers.His newly released album follows 2018’s Grammy-nominated ‘Black Times’, and was executive produced by Lenny Kravitz and Fela's original engineer Sodi Marciszewer. It features special guests Damian Marley and Sampa The Great, plus the massive power of Egypt 80.
Seun Kuti and the 9-member Egypt 80 are playing in Hollywood FL as part of the US tour that also includes a date at Coachella Festival.

The opening set features the popular Miami-based funk-jazz-hip hop ensemble FOOM!
