Settle into Stillness unites the healing power of conscious relaxation with sacred sound. Settle Into Stillness was founded by Jeremy Arndt and Nancy Grzeszak, whose paths converged in 2011, igniting a shared passion for yoga and music that would ultimately blossom into a transformative journey around the globe. Their mutual desire to spread peace, serenity, and self-discovery led them to create the Sound Journey, a magical fusion of music and mindfulness.

The Art of the Sound Journey
Sound Journey Foundations: 10:00am to 12:00pm
This workshop is for students who are interested in learning more about playing healing instruments and leading their very own Sound Journey.
It is suitable for students from the complete beginner to students with some experience who are looking to have a strong musical foundation, and applicable to a wide variety of instrumentation. In this workshop, we will discuss topics such as setting the space, instrument selection, developing a listening ear, and more.
There will be a brief introduction to a wide variety of instrumentation.
Students are encouraged to bring instruments they are comfortable working with, and will have an opportunity to be hands-on with instruments such as the gongs, crystal singing bowls, handpans, and more!
Dynamics, Sequencing, and Flow: 12:30am to 2:30pm
In this workshop, we will dive a little deeper into the elements that make a Sound Journey unique and interesting to the listener. We will discuss topics such as dynamics and volume, sequencing of a Sound Journey, the energetic flow of the experience, transitioning between musical pieces and instruments, and more. This workshop is suitable for students of all levels and are applicable to any instrument you play. Students are encouraged to bring instruments they are comfortable working with, and will have an opportunity to be hands-on with instruments such as the gongs, crystal singing bowls, handpans, and more!
Harmonic Foundations: 3:00pm to 5:00pm
In this workshop, we will discuss some musical elements that will enable the facilitator to create a captivating sonic experience in their offerings. We will discuss musical elements such as tone, melody, musical scales, harmony, consonance, and dissonance. In addition to discussing these harmonic foundations, the workshop will cover the topics of composition vs. improvisation, as well as how and when to use these elements throughout your Sound Journey offering. This workshop is suitable for all levels, although it would be recommended to have some experience if you're a beginner. With this workshop, you will learn to take your Sound Journeys, Sound Baths, and Gong Baths to the next level! As with all of our Art of the Sound Journey series, the topics we discuss in the workshop are applicable to any instrument you may play or wish to play in your offerings.

Sound Journey (Sound Bath): 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Tickets ~ $45.00
Nurture yourself and experience deep relaxation as Jeremy and Nancy create a unique and immersive soundscape. The soothing resonance of the handpan, didgeridoo, multiple gongs, crystal singing bowls and more will induce complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation; cultivating a deep sense of calm and inner peace. Your physical body will rest in a comfortable and supported savasana as you are bathed by a sea of sound. Each experience is created and offered with love and intention for healing and relaxation!
