Overview
In today’s world, sustainability and green skills are not just buzzwords— they’re necessities, particularly in the marine, renewable energy, and digital sectors.
But what does sustainability truly mean for your business? How can you navigate the complexities of carbon emissions, and ensure that your operations not only comply with legislation but also provide a competitive edge?
This free consultation provided by Zennor Pascoe, Founder and Director of Seaquestr Ltd, is designed specifically for businesses operating in the marine and renewable energy sectors. It blends the foundational elements of sustainability, B Corp fundamentals, and carbon literacy into a tailored learning experience that addresses the unique challenges and opportunities of your industry.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Carbon Strategy: You will learn how to accurately measure your carbon emissions, develop and implement a robust net-zero strategy, and explore effective methods for reducing and offsetting emissions. This holistic approach will ensure that your business not only meets but exceeds the environmental standards required for B Corp Certification, positioning you as a leader in sustainability within your industry.
- Understanding Sustainability: Dive deep into what sustainability means for your business and why it’s crucial for the future. You'll explore the three pillars of sustainability—economic, environmental, and social—and learn how to apply these concepts in your workplace, whether on land or at sea.
- Carbon Literacy: Gain a solid understanding of carbon emissions, including Scope 1, 2, and 3, and the greenhouse effect. You will learn how to measure and report emissions using the latest tools, like Seaquestr’s seaotool, and develop strategies to reduce your carbon footprint effectively.
- Practical Applications: Using real-world examples from the marine and renewable energy sectors, this course will equip you with actionable insights to implement sustainability strategies that meet legal requirements and provide a commercial advantage.
Course Structure
The consultation session is a 1:1 discussion, allowing you to engage with expert guidance while applying what you learn directly to your business. With Seaquestr, you’ll gain exclusive access to the inner workings of cutting-edge tools like Seaquestr’s seao-tool for emissions tracking and strategy development, and you’ll leave with a clear action plan for integrating sustainability into your operations.
