Every career has a story behind it—and this one has taken a few unexpected turns.
Join us for a candid conversation with producer David Lawson Jr. of Rustic Films as we trace the journey that took him from serving in the U.S. Air Force to building a career in independent film and eventually co-founding Rustic Films alongside longtime collaborators Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
With producing credits including Something in the Dirt, Synchronic, The Endless, Spring, Resolution and more, David has spent years helping bring bold independent films to life.
We’ll talk about where he started, the relationships and experiences that shaped his career, lessons learned along the way, making movies with friends, his move to Austin—and where the journey takes him next.
No presentation. No playbook. Just a relaxed conversation about building a life and career in film. 🎬🛸
🎙️ Featuring David Lawson Jr. — Producer, Rustic Films
📅 October 17th
