Serving the Generations Sharing Conference

CONFERENCE TO FOCUS ON SERVING NEIGHBORS OF ALL AGES
What are houses of worship, nonprofit organizations and government agencies doing to meet the needs of every generation — children, teens and young adults, seniors and those in between? What gaps exist and how can all sectors of the community work together to fill them?
These and other questions about Serving the Generations will guide the conversation during the fall Sharing Conference presented by the Interfaith and Community Resource Network. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Bethune-Cookman University’s Center for Civic Engagement, 740 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for networking.
The conference is free. Open to all, The IC Resource Network's seasonal conferences are geared toward helping service providers and people of faith in and around Volusia County learn from one another and identify opportunities for collaboration. Network leaders encourage houses of worship, nonprofit organizations and government agencies to send participants.
The conference will include speakers whose work focuses on specific age groups. The unique needs of veterans also will be covered. Information tables will be staffed by nonprofit organizations and other service providers. Free health screenings will be offered.
