About this Event
What Will We Be Reading?
- Chapter 1: Understanding Channels
- Chapter 2: Pinning Down Touchpoints
- Chapter 3: Exploring Ecosystems
We're open to adopting a more ambitious reading schedule if there's interest, but we're tackling a few chapters at a time with the goal of gradually moving through the book in a way that's sustainable and supportive for busy professionals.
Got a section you're passionate about discussing, especially because of how it relates to your work or personal interests? Feel free to jump in for just that session!
Got a busy month at work and you know you won't have any time to dedicate to reading? Jump in at the next one!
We want to make this easy and fun for everyone. We're here to build accountability, not be another thing for you to feel guilty about.
What Should I Expect?
Fun vibes and a great discussion! We'll be going over our thoughts about the first few chapters, chatting about how it related to our professional experiences, and learning about each other along the way.
If there's something you'd like us to include in our agenda or that you think would be beneficial for the discussion, please reach out to [email protected].
Who Is This For?
Anyone interested in service design! Whether you're a seasoned service designer, someone looking to pivot into service design, or just curious about how service design principles can apply to your field of work, everyone is welcome.
Great discussions come out of varied lived experiences and perspectives. Feeling shy about your limited service design experience? Don't be, the goal is to learn together!
Where Is the Next Meeting?
Our May discussion will be hosted in SF to accomodate those interested in participating but unable to commute to East Bay. We're currently looking for a venue to host it. If you have any connections or just want to be added to the book club mailing list, let us know at [email protected]!
How Can I Get There?
Ferry: For those that would prefer the scenic route to Jack London, you can take the Alameda Ferry to the Oakland Ferry Terminal right in front of Rosenblum.
BART: Both the 12th St Station and Lake Merritt Station are within walking distance of Rosenblum.
Car: For those driving, the most convenient places to park are the garages at101 Washington Street or 98 Broadway. Street parking is also available.
How Will I Find the Group?
When you get to Rosenblum, look for Lexi sitting inside. She has pastel pink hair and should be easy to spot. If you can't find us, email [email protected].
How Can I Stay In the Loop?
We'll be sending out emails about the book club meetings on top of updating the and a fledling WhatsApp group. To get added to any of these, email us at [email protected]!
Don't miss out on this chance to expand your knowledge and build connections in a casual and supportive environment. We hope to see you there!
