Serpentine Whispers: 2024 Research Residency ARTISTIC RESPONSE

The artists who were selected for our 2024 Research Residency are Maura Garcia, Anaïs Bossé + Odéah Roy, and Elena Basford. They will be working between February to April in three different studios across Winnipeg. They will be sharing their research to a public audience on Saturday, April 20th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at aceartinc.

We are delighted to have Gislina Patterson as the written essayist and Azka Ahmed as the visual essayist. These two artists will create artistic responses to the residency artists research, and share their work to a public audience on Sunday, April 21st from 2:00pm-4:00pm at aceartinc.

The Research Residency is designed to support the kinesthetic and choreographic inquiries of artists from all disciplines engaging in dance and/or movement-based research, providing resources such as artists’ fees, studio space, and public presentation opportunities.
