Grandma Blue Star woman

Barbara Meister Vitale - is an international lecturer, Director of the Meta-

Intelligence Institute, and author of the best-selling books "Unicorns are Real"

and "Free Flight". She is also the editor of "The Circle of Life" by Grandfather James Dubray.

Trained by her Grandmother in the ancient Celtic traditions, and made a relative by the Lakota Nation in 1980, she has been trained in many other traditional cultures and ceremonies. After having a vision she walks with Blue Star Woman and the prophecies.

In her own words, here is her life:

This is a journey through an extraordinary life full of lessons and adventures. It is my life. I was born into a Celtic family as Barbara Ann McNeil.

My mother was half Cherokee, my father was Celtic. My life like many, has been a balance between moments of joy, amazement, excitement, pain and grief. My first memories were of being born. I was on the other side aware of the life I had chosen, why I had chosen it, and what I had volunteered to do. I was ready to leap. As I moved down the birth channel it felt like all my knowing was being squeezed out. I felt fear and the sensation that I was dying. As I was birthed I came out screaming. Years later after experiencing three near death experiences I came to believe that birth was death and dying was birth. On one of the near death journeys I went to a place where there was nothing but love.

As a child I experienced lots of trauma. My mother was an alcoholic and schizophrenic. She was my greatest teacher. When you are locked in closets, you learn out of body travel. She gave me the gift of being able to see into other worlds. She gave me the gift of forgiveness. My dad that I adored was gone most of the time.

When I was 6 years old we moved back to live with my grandma. I could not write my name nor read. I did not read until I was in 5th grade. My grandma said,” You will read when God is done teaching you the other things he wants you to learn.” Once I learned to read I read everything I could get my hands on. My grandma was my angel. She taught me to talk to the plants, see the fairy folk, heal others, and understand that we are all one. She also taught me traditional Celtic ways. During these years we were poor. Although I went to an upscale public school, I can remember starting school with the top of my shoes cut out so my toes wouldn’t blister. If I was lucky to get a new pair of shoes they were two sizes to big with cotton stuffed in the toes so that I could wear them for two years. Most of my clothes were made from printed feed sacks or hand me downs. Right out of high school I got married. I had married someone just like my mother. We had two children. Both have gone home. After I walked away, I ask spirit to send me someone that could help me do Spirits work and someone I could make the happiest. I met my present husband and soul mate. We have been married 41 years.

I had my degree and became a teacher of special students. I taught for 20 years. I took what I was teaching and wrote two books. I was invited to train teachers on Native American reservations. That is when I met the man I call Grandpa. He was a medicine man, saved my life, and trained me for several years. Through ceremony I became Lakota and have walked that way since 1978. Although I had been very involved in the metaphysical aspects of belief, it was not until I began to travel the world meeting indigenous elders that I really began to understand the many possibilities and dimensions of life. I am still peeling the onion and learning. Each day is a new experience and challenge. Each day Spirit teaches me more about love and non judgment. I am remembering who I am. I am you. I am ONE

Carla Poluha

, Red Tent Facilitator and Community Gatherer Co-Host of Serpent Mound Star Knowledge Peace SummitsCarla has acquired many certifications and titles in her professional life, she believed she would climb the professional ladder of success, but much to her surprise , her well thought out plan was interseeded by Creator. There was a far better plan without limitations . All she would be required to do was let go and allow the Inner Goddess to flow and hear the call to gather the women in Red Tents . Red Tents are held during the energy of the new moon , a time when women naturally go within and are most in need of community . It is during this time that women must gather in circle to reclaim the wisdom of our ancestors. To get back into nature to embrace the medicines and recall the ways of our culture and lineage that was once forgotten . Carla is truly a champion of women and gatherer of community. Her passion for peace within humanity comes from her life experiences through adoption. This experience left her to uncover and come to a growing understanding of the core wound within all women and of humanity. This core wound of sex and sexuality is the root that ails all beings . Without uncovering and embracing core wounds we become warriors out to defend and destroy any and all who do not share our beliefs . It’s time to put down the swords with the knowledge that we are already free . The systems are broken , they do not require to be fixed . It’s time to experience liberation and create new ways of being that serve humanity and not the systems. Carla is constantly practicing the balance of creative ideas, passion in the heart and opening to the unfolding of experiences through LOVE.
