Why read the land? Why write about it? In this lively writing workshop, we will read eco-poetry from a variety of literary traditions, including the verse of American, Latin American, Japanese, and Indigenous literatures. Participants are encouraged to share their poetry during the workshop. This workshop is beginner-friendly and requires no previous experience; everyone is welcome.
The title comes from As You Like It 2.3:[DUKE]
And this our life, exempt from public haunt,
Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything.
