SERIOUS SPORT AS SERIOUS PLAY
Youth sport has become serious business, adults tightly oversee and organize the youth sport context, and early sport specialization has become common. USU kinesiologist Al Smith will share how playful sport is challenged by these trends, yet is fundamental to excelling as an athlete and reaping the developmental benefits of sport participation. He will offer suggestions for re-centering play, and young people themselves, in youth sport.
The Eccles Science Learning Center (ESLC) is located on USU's Logan campus, south of the Taggart Student Center and north of Old Main. ESLC map = https://www.usu.edu/map/index.cfm?id=15
FREE PARKING is available for Science Unwrapped in the Aggie Parking Terrace at 700 East 600 North, Logan, and in the Big Blue Parking Terrace at 850 East 700 North, Logan. You DO NOT need to use the mobile parking app.
