'La Serpiente, El Tres de Espadas y Metamorfosis' navigates the liminal space between confrontation and acceptance. Through a personal visual language, Sergio Hernández Bernal explores the tension between pain and transformation, examining what it means to move beyond victimhood.
Anchored by three central totems—the Scarlet Snake (rebirth), the Three of Swords (emotional rupture), and Metamorphosis (evolution)—the show unfolds through digital paintings, 3D-printed sculptures as part of installations. These works blend explorations of lust, sex, and the shadow self, drawing on Carl Jung’s psychology of integration to confront identity, heartbreak, and healing.
Created during a time of personal transformation and self-questioning, with the artist’s Saturn return approaching, the exhibition captures both the highs of self-realization and the depths of emotional reckoning. It is a moment of declaration: “Here I am, confronting—not yet in full acceptance.”
Rather than presenting healing as a final destination, the show positions acceptance as an ongoing, dynamic process. It invites viewers to reflect on where they find themselves: confronting or accepting?
Each installation is a ritual space, asking the audience to move, feel, and question. Making visible the invisible forces that shape our metamorphoses.
