About this Event
This class will introduce the basics behind the serger, including stitch characteristics, fabric selection, and machine mechanics. Attendees will learn how to thread the serger, balance tensions, adjust stitch length, and sew a basic seam. Fabric will be provided, or bring your own to upcycle (towels/terry cloth and flannel work well together for two-layer unpaper towels). Ages 16 and up.
How to find us: We are in the 1st floor of the apartment building. Enter the main door and proceed past the elevators. Take the first hallway to the right. Exterior doors lock at 8:30pm. If you are not a member with a door code, please plan to arrive before then.
Proof of vaccination required. You may email this ahead of time to [email protected]. Masks and social distancing enforced.
