About this Event

Experience Japanese calligraphy and traditional brushwork.

Led by Kei Nishino from Fukuoka, Japan, who has practiced calligraphy since the age of four. Her grandfather was the head priest of a Zen temple, and she is also a certified Assistant Instructor in the Urasenke tradition of Japanese tea ceremony.

You’ll learn basic brush techniques, choose from a selection of kanji, and create your own artwork to take home.

No experience is needed, and all materials are included. Whether you want to try something new, improve your skills, or are interested in Japan and Japanese culture, everyone is welcome.
