In 1992, Eric Clapton sat down with an acoustic guitar and a piano player and recorded the record that outsold everything else he ever made.
Guitar and piano. That is the whole instrumentation. It is also exactly what Emil Khachaturian and Alex Zlotnik are bringing to Speakeasy Ottawa on Sunday, September 27.
SERENATA is an evening built around that sound. Layla. Tears in Heaven. Change the World. Emil and Alex play a substantial run of the Clapton songbook alongside the pieces Al Di Meola made famous and Emil's own compositions, in a room of candles and low light that suits acoustic music the way a stadium never has. Mediterranean, Latin, blues and jazz threads run through the whole night.
This is a dinner and show experience. Doors open at 6:00 PM so you can settle in, order, and make a full evening of it. Our full dinner menu and full cocktail and wine bar are available throughout the night, or reserve your seat with our three course dinner included.

Butternut squash soup with coconut milk, creme fraiche and maple syrup. Vegetarian and gluten free.

NY strip steak with smokey mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and port jus
Seared organic salmon with maple orange beurre blanc, lemon herbed risotto, market vegetables and mango salsa
Vegan aubergine cannelloni
To finish
Classic vanilla bourbon creme brulee. Gluten free.
