Serena Lee is a textile artist, photographer, and writer, has been exploring remote areas of Asia since 1973. Her visit to northern Vietnam in 1999 inspired multiple return trips to study the tribes living along the Vietnam-China border. The distinct group outfits identify clans, express ancestral pride, and perpetuate ancient beliefs. This presentation showcases the enduring dress, textile arts, and ancient ways of living within these cultures.
