Join Steve Hartman on a gentle walk through the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve to view revegetation areas where hundreds of natives have been planted and watered by dedicated
volunteers. For native gardeners, this is a great
opportunity to see dozens of species of native shrubs
and trees. Bring binoculars for birdwatching too. Walk
lasts no more than 3 hours. Bring hat and water. After
a thorough inspection of recent revegetation areas,
Steve will lead the group around the Wildlife Lake and
identify the shrubs and trees and wildlife. Directions: Turn north from Burbank Blvd. (or south from Victory Blvd.) onto Woodley Ave., which is ½ mile west of the San Diego Freeway (I405). Travel about ½ mile to the sign for the Wildlife Reserve (and Japanese Gardens). Turn east onto Wildlife Way, a park road. Bear right at the immediate fork in the road and go east ½ mile to the Wildlife Reserve parking on your left. We will meet at the
restrooms. No dogs please. For more info contact
Steve at [email protected]. Rain date Sept. 27
