AN EXTRA TALLAHASSEE SILENT BOOK CLUB EVENT THIS MONTH!!! Because Saturday 9/6 is National Read A Book Day!
This BONUS event will occur on SATURDAY, September 6th from 2:00-3:30pm @ LINK!
Location: LINK Sausages & Beer in Midtown, off Thomasville Road, and 6th Ave! Where El Cocinero was!
Timeline will be as follows:
2:00PM-2:30PM Arrive. You can find a place to put your things down, then go place your order at the counter. Then use this time to meet and chit-chat with others if you wish to be social.
(If you do not wish to chat, you're more than welcome to just start reading!!!)
**NOTE** The restaurant space isn't huge inside, so be open to share your table with other members. Also, they do have outdoor seating too as long as it isn't storming (fingers crossed).
2:30PM-3:30PM I'll let you know that the the SILENT Reading session will commence.
At 3:30PM, I will let you know the time is up and you're free to do what you wish.
COMMON COURTESY GUIDELINES:
1. I ask that you please buy at least one thing from our host venue. However, if you really do not wish to buy any food or drinks, please be kind and donate at least $1.00 to their tip jar for their willingness for allowing us to take up their space.
2. During the Silent Reading Session, please keep socializing to a minimum. If you need to talk or say something to someone, please compare your voice levels to how you would talk in the library. Be considerate of those around you.
3. After the event is over you may stay if you wish. And as mentioned previously, you may leave anytime before as well. You do not need to say goodbye or anything either. We won't be offended and you're always welcome back.
