✨ AARC SEPTEMBER RALLYWe’re super excited to welcome back Louise Hillman by popular demand with even more fabulous options for our September rally. Please read Louise’s class descriptions below, before booking. Amanda and Jill will be our rally coordinators this month.
We’re also offering a choice of free activities that include a free lunch time presentation by Louise on dressage and the training scale at 1pm. We’ll set up a full working equitation course for those wanting to practice for Sue’s upcoming clinic. And finally, the sand arena will be open for you to start practicing your dressage tests for our December 14th Dressage Encouragement Day. Test sheets will be sent out with our September newsletter. September’s lunch theme is to bring a plate based on your horse’s gender. So if you have a gelding, please bring a savoury dish and if you have a mare, then bring something sweet.

Louise is a favourite with our members and she’s offering four brilliant options to choose from. Bookings are on a first in best dressed basis, so please let us know your first and second option and if you’d prefer a morning or afternoon class. We’ll do our best to accomodate everyone. Please note that class times will depend on bookings.
Option One:
ESTABLISHING THE ‘BUTTONS’ GROUNDWORK AND RIDDEN LESSON: Aim is to install/enhance your ‘buttons’ to ensure you and your horse are clear on, and more adept at, using the different leg and seat aids, together with the required response. This will enable you to have more influence on your horse without relying on the reins so much and, for those aspiring to ride without a bridle one day, it will set you up on this path.
Option Two:
LATERAL MOVEMENTS RIDDEN LESSON: Aim is to secure some basic lateral movements, including why we need them, how to achieve them and when to use them.
Option Three:
RIDDEN LESSON DEVELOPING SUPPLENESS TO ACHIEVE FRAME NATURALLY: Developing suppleness in the horse and rider enables a horse to work correctly over the back with flow, ease and harmony.
Option Four:
THE HOW & WHY OF RIDING A DRESSAGE TEST: The aim here is to understand the dressage letters - why, how and where the dressage movements are included in a test while having have a crack at riding them.
*Bookings are on a first in best dressed basis - so please let us know your first and second option and if you’d like a morning or afternoon class and we’ll do our best to accommodate everyone.
To book your lesson, please email your first and second option to us at [email protected] and make your $50 payment into the club account.
RALLY SCHEDULE

✨ The urn will be hot and our wonderful committee will create some nourishing treats.
FREE ACTIVITIES from 9:30am.
