September Meeting: Nasher Sculpture Center

Cost: Students, teachers, military/veterans will all be free with ID and general admission will be $5. When you arrive at the Nasher ticket booth, please show your book (in whatever format) and let them know you are here for silent book club to receive the discounted ticket price.

Parking: There is underground paid parking at the Park Fast and Trammel Crow garages, both entrances on Olive Street. There is more underground paid parking available at the Dallas Museum of Art with garage entrances are on North Harwood Street and North St. Paul Street. Metered and Free street parking is available on Harwood, Olive, Ross, and along the Woodall Rodgers service road. We recommend downloading and setting up the Park Mobile app before visiting downtown.

Food: The Nasher does not allow outside food or drink but guests will be able to purchase food and drink from our cafe. Guests can bring water bottles, which they can have outside, but they will need to be in a bag while in the galleries.

Seating: Since we plan on being outside in the garden, plan to bring a blanket or something to get comfy on outside! Don't forget your sunblock/wear your bug spray.

General Meeting Timeline: 30 min of bookish chit-chat & ordering, 1 hour of silent reading, and last 30 mins to read/chat before we leave.

Arrival: Please check in using your QR ticket with the SBC host upon arrival. You will meet your host outside in the garden.

Community Guidelines

3 Month Rule: If you RSVP and no-show for three meetings, you will automatically be placed on the waitlist for three months to allow others the opportunity to attend. If your plans change, we ask that you adjust your RSVP here on Eventbrite 2 days before the event, so that we have time to notify any members on the waitlist. Of course we understand that last minute issues will arise without warning, but we ask that you please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. One meeting a month and paid meetings: For the time being, we ask that you attend only 1 free meeting a month. If there is a paid meeting in addition to our regular unpaid events in the same month, you are welcome to attend both.
