About Cottonwood Environmental Law Center
“Cottonwood is a group of free-thinking rabble rousers dedicated to protecting the people, forests, water, and wildlife of the American West, and having fun doing it” Cottonwood is a small group of effective conservationists that believe our natural resources should be managed using science, not politics. We file strategic lawsuits that start out locally, but almost invariably have national impacts.
About Wild Joe's Coffee
The “Wild” in our name refers to Montana’s abundant wildlife, endless wilderness, and the wildness of heart that draws people to this rugged part of the country. Step inside Wild Joe*s and you’ll find a representative cross-section of the folks who make up this extraordinary town – MSU students, tech-entrepreneurs, astrophysicists, Olympic skiers, fly fishermen, Himalayan mountain climbers, conservationists, actors, artists, novelists, photographers, musicians, retirees… and, on rare occasion, even the occasional cowboy.
Wild Joe*s works to ensure that social and environmentally responsible practices are used to promote a healthy local & global community. Awarded Montana Eco Star for sustainable business practices.
Waste
Wild Joe*s recycles glass/plastic/aluminum/paper
We compost 100% of our coffee grounds and kitchen food scraps with Happy Trash Can Composters as well as our to containers and other commercially compostable packaging we receive.
Disposables
Disposable iced cups, spoons, and straws are made of corn waste bi-products from Eco Montana
We use recycled, recycleable, or compostable materials whenever possible.
Bring in your own cup and save $.25 on your drink order or pass your savings on to a local nonprofit!
Energy
Wild Joe*s is proud to be a Clean Energy business by offsetting 100% of our energy consumption with wind power. By supporting local wind and solar projects through national clean energy provider, Arcadia Power, we are helping to reduce America’s dependence on dirty fossil fuels. Wild Joe*s is committed to building a brighter future for everyone by using renewable power, supporting local green jobs that cannot be outsourced, and fighting pollution and climate change.
